The journey of Lifelong learning, from micro to macro learning, these moments in the digital age are unique; the evolution of the educational revolution, ethically engineered empowered education - the cost, the recommendations, the frameworks, the infrastructure, the implementation is this designed and accessible for all? ?Learning in the +40s anew
H.E. Amb. Simona-Mirela Miculescu , President of the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO at the Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence 2024, 6 February 2024, Kranj, Slovenia: "Not only as the president of the General Conference, but also as an ambassador, a university professor, a mother, and a grandmother who is deeply concerned –both personally and professionally - about the future of the next generations, I want to focus on a word that resonated throughout all these thought-provoking discussions - Responsibility.......
Placing the ethics of technological advancement such as artificial intelligence at the center of our action also proves our determination to play a pivotal role in ensuring that ethical considerations should be the backbone of each technological advancement. Together, let us shape a future where innovation and frontier technologies benefit humanity in profound ways, transcending borders, and fostering a shared responsibility for the well-being of all"
Smart City Engineering, SDGs, skill, re-skill, upskill. Happy to contribute to tilting a bit of the gender balance in this graduate field; the curriculum became available in RO, 2021-2022 University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Energy Engineering, UNESCO Chair "Engineering for Society". Appreciation towards professors for new curriculum development, a multidisciplinary approach. Thank you for answering my many, many questions and for all the debates, guided curiosity for being open to testing together various AI chat-bots in some approaches, as soon as they were switched “on” for public use, querying their lifecycle feeding habits: data, water, soil, the energy consumed or addressing my concern from drivers to subscribers (FSD, level 5) -Thank you, Professor Mihai Sanduleac , sustainable users or abusers just a consent, a click away just to name a few approaches and the importance of readiness assessments on many levels.
“I am the shore and the ocean, awaiting myself on both sides.” NGO, academia, entrepreneurship, ex-corporate, ex-private sector, there is no map on sailing across waters, just curiosity, intuition seeded from accumulated knowledge and experience that guides to the other shore, always open to being a novice in one and sharing expertise in other.
University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Energy Engineering & UNESCO Chair "Engineering for Society", Smart City Engineering, the learning path is two years, the study program can be useful for IT&C specialists, for those who ensure the governance of a Smart City, who need to make informed decisions about the development of new smart technological systems, and for specialists working in the fields of research and design of the infrastructure of modern cities; Thank you, professors, for sharing expertise on the topics:

The why, the what, the how, who drives and feeds smart digital sustainable transformation in a city, community, country, or region, at the global level? Questions we should reflect upon, investigate, and know the answer to, and understand the proposed solutions. What is the ROI, the true cost of AI, “green” digitalization? The footprint of your data, in space, on earth, upon humanity? Who is engineering the jobs of the future (the visible and the invisible workforce) and calculates the impact on humanity’s intellect, air, water, and soil? who is held accountable, responsible, consulted, or/ and informed? is there such a thing as a "smart green ecosystem"?
Learning must be for all and designed for all the different stages, and phases of life, across sectors, and industries, agile frameworks need to be developed and re-engineered.
Can we tame, domesticate the AI robotics, the same as we did with animals and plants?
From human ideation to prompt engineering to human hallucinating conclusions nuanced in the clouds, from the AI Getsemani to AI Eden, the actions, and the words are what set us apart or unite.
It was a pleasure to utilize the UNESCO tools, documents, reports, assessments, The Recommendation of Ethical AI as a lens across the smart city curriculum, checking SDGs- reporting, scores, statistics, reports where and if available, global/ regional/ national strategies, connecting dots, crayoning conclusions, and raising alarms, making references and adding as reference, bibliography UNESCO documents that pilot ways across topics. (the mindbending conference: Building a Global Ethical Framework for AI: the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI, Bucharest, beacons, espresso shot for the brain that requires solutions from all; their message was the drop in the ocean that created many ripples, mesmerizing: H.E. Amb. Simona-Mirela Miculescu , President of the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO and Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences UNESCO, Gabriela Ramos .
removing the email domain after many years did not change my vision, but made it blurry for a while; the road was never easy from junior to global director certified learning in the tech industry, but my objective remains the same, now in different roles, new lenses: to help build smart communities- engineered ethical empowered digital education4all. … a common understanding that will empower equilibrium, sustainability; humanity in IR5 and beyond – requires a holistic approach and aid from all stakeholders (regardless of election years), UNESCO is leading the way, partnership and cooperation, interoperability, ethical impact assessments, readiness assessments and much more.
Always wanted to calculate the true cost of the digital transformation that my amazing teams did across the globe while transforming education, job role transformation, from paper to online to subscription, and migrating operations to the cloud. Even if data is still missing the hope is that all will soon be revealed, and the clouds, the AI wishing well query, promptly wishing will become clear/ transparent, and measured wisely-... I am an optimist.
In the current era of ever-expanding digital information, the semantics – take on renewed importance, and a nuanced understanding of how context and subtle variations in meaning, input, shape a different outcome in the machine output "reply" is crucial... ”chaos is not the same as disorder” just because we can automate, does not mean we should...
“Cogito ergo Sum”- “Cogitandi Era”-cherishing human intellect, lifelong learning is a process that we learn as we transition and experience different phases of life; to my partner who joined me in exploring this edu path: Smart City Engineering& Management, learning, developing& researching as a family activity, it was, is intense, not easy but we make it fun, among all other things we do, parenthood, learning anew requires new perspectives, and living each day as a gift, as a miracle is bliss; we met during a certification course, and today we continue learning, agreeing, disagreeing, debating and building common elements, raising our children, being near family; to the next edu-milestone :) let's research some eVTOLs and see the symphony of the clouds, edu e-mobility (mind the gap) Aviation Human-AI symbiosis, CO2 emissions, and the impact of the transformation.
Gratitude extends to the global thought shapers, for paving the way forward alongside brilliant minds safekeeping heritage, equilibrium, freedom of expression, the beauty of linguistics across the globe, to the expert groups, for providing access to open debates, consultations, and documentation that is vital and agile in our digital world, for being beacons of digital equity, AI diplomacy without borders, demonstrating amazing results that help us all move forward across various domains (the digital footprint, the inspirational talks, accurate data or raising awarness about its scarcity, recommendations, the shivering statistics, guided my steps when blurred; building futures without the Matilda effect, humanity5.0ethicalAI)
