Learndesk.us - A case study of how not to treat a customer

I found the introductory mail from Learndesk.us to be really attractive. Some good sales magnets which resonated with me as a trainer. I immediately booked an appointment for a presentation. The sales presentation was quite impressive as well. After the sales presentation, I asked the co-founder a few questions about the 'searchability' of content hosted by Learndesk. If I was to subscribe to the platform, the least I would expect is that my content should feature on the front page of google.

I conducted a small test to validate the 'searchability'. I went ahead and searched for some of the featured content of Learndesk on Google. Interestingly none of their content (including the featured content) gets listed in the first 3 pages of google!! It was Udemy all the way.

When I posed this question, I got a curt mail from the co-founder Mr. Vivek Puri that they are not interested in doing business with me!!

In today's day and age, please remember that even a non-customer has to be treated with respect. Any disrespect can come back to seriously bite you in the back.

My worst experience of 2023 is Learndesk. They do not keep their agreements. They are deceptive and liars, have no integrity and fit the bill of deceptive scammers. Keep away from them and save your time and money.

Hi Arun, thank you for sharing this, I had a very bad experience with #Learndesk. I was also told that it was one-off payment and really great promises to help me find more customers, But once signed up nothing really happened. in the initial communication I was told that it is not a subscription it is just a one-off payment. I hardly used the account. and I was charged for this year as well. after many requests Vivek Puri and Manish Arora ignored it, then promised they will pay but no payment. I had tried to get the money back through Paypal but no luck, Lost my hard-earned money. I do not recommend this platform.

You had a lucky escape! I signed up with #learndesk and was told this was a one off payment and that 100% of revenue from my courses was mine. Sounded too good to be true! Once signed up, new rules and payments were requested for storage, marketing of courses etc etc. Luckily I had only uploaded one of my 15 courses. I cancelled my subscription and demanded my money back - long silence. No responses to emails or calls! Reported them to my bank and got money back. They served my well by hilighting important lessons for myself. They did themselves a great disservice!
