Learn to Use Your Feelings to Make Better Decisions

It's not unusual to experience difficult and complex feelings in the face of difficult and complex decisions. How can you harness your feelings to assist you to make better choices in?the decision making process? It's all about "Feeling Empowerment."
Start by identifying the decision(s) you need to make. Are you hiring? Firing? Restructuring your team? Name the decision—then identify exactly how you feel about it. What is the dominant feeling? Is it Fear, Anxiety, Stress of making a mistake, or a sense of being overwhelmed, or perhaps excitement, about the opportunity ahead?
Naming your feeling(s) will assist you to create space between feelings and actions. Next, visualize how you will feel on the other side of the decision. Do you imagine a sense of accomplishment or relief? Or is there still some residual negative feeling? If there are some residual negative feelings....remind yourself that your decision was made on solid data...whatever that data is. Then, you can feel the fear and do it anyway. Everyone had a little fear when they first jumped off the high-board into the water below.??
Discovering and facing your feelings in the wake of making decisions will assist you to untangle the discomfort you're feeling on the face of it—and help you move into your future with clarity and confidence.
