This is where the thinking comes into play. Where should you direct your thinking? Are there opportunities to think different, so that you can do different?

YES!

This is where it is critical that we take time to learn. To approach things with a beginners mind, and attempt to connect dots for context.

I'm excited to announce that we have relaunched the Catalyst Spark Newsletter as Learn. Think. Act. The first edition went out to our 18 subscribers this morning. Let's see if we can double that number before the next edition.

Learn - What Are Personal KPI's??

KPIs are specific, measurable values that track your progress towards a goal. While they are commonly used in business, personal KPIs can be transformative and just as effective in personal growth too.

For example, instead of just noting gym visits, consider tracking metrics like body fat percentage, resting heart rate, or heart rate variability for a comprehensive view of your fitness progress. See various examples below.

Health & Fitness

  • Body Fat Percentage: Measure changes in your body composition.
  • Resting Heart Rate: Track your cardiovascular fitness.
  • Heart Rate Variability: Monitor your stress and recovery levels.

Finance

  • Cash Flow: Track money coming in vs. money going out
  • Savings Growth: Measure the increase in your savings over time.

Productivity

  • Tasks Completed: Keep a count of tasks you complete daily or weekly.
  • Time Management: Track how you allocate your time to different activities.

Why Are Personal KPIs Important?

Personal KPIs help you understand if your efforts are effective. If your KPIs aren't improving, it might be time to adjust your strategies. They also help maintain accountability and provide a clear visualization of your progress.

Think - Reflect On What You Want To Achieve

  • Are your current efforts yielding your desired results?
  • How do you currently measure your personal success?
  • What metrics do you use to gauge your progress?

Remember, personal KPIs can be powerful tools to help you stay on track and achieve your goals.

Act

  • Identify Your Goals: Determine what you want to achieve in different areas of your life.
  • Choose Relevant KPIs: Select specific, measurable indicators that align with your goals.
  • Track Your Progress: Use simple tools like spreadsheets, apps or even a whiteboard (my favorite) to monitor your KPIs regularly.
  • Adjust As Needed: If you're not seeing the desired progress, reevaluate your actions and make necessary changes.
