Colombia is a country divided by deserts, mountain ranges, rivers, and jungles. Thanks to this diverse topology and its according climates, it became a country that bursts of diversity in any sense of the word.?
Colombian culture is so unique and fascinating wherever you go in the country. While traveling you might notice the cultural nuances between regions. They are reflected in their local music, art expressions, language, food, sports, and festivals among others.?Music is a very important part of Colombian culture, with Cumbia and Vallenato enjoyed country-wide. Shakira is famously from this Latin American country, as is Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a famous figure in Colombian literature. Colombian art is often synonymous with Fernando Botero.?

Medellín
Medellín is Colombia’s second-largest city, and is famous for its flower festival, warm climate, Botero Museum, and a metropolitan feel. Medellín has several unique things to do and see.
Nearby Guatapé, for example, has a 650-foot (198-meter) rock protruding out of the flat lands, where you can climb over 700 steps and discover the “best view in the world.” Medellín is a lively city with plazas, colorful graffiti, exceptional transportation links, and unique museums.?
Barranquilla
Joy, music, and tradition are very much a part of this Colombian city. Each of its squares and streets are full of joy, so every day feels like a real carnival. ?
The charm, warmth, and energy of the people of Barranquilla captivate the city's visitors.
If you want to enjoy all the area's natural beauty, you must visit Bocas de Ceniza, a marvelous place where the Magdalena River meets the Caribbean Sea. his place is definitely photo-worthy. The Barranquilla Zoo is another interesting place to visit.
It has 550 animals of 140 different species, some of which are in danger of extinction, such as the eagle, the condor, the flamingo, the manatee, and the spectacled bear. The Golden Gate park (el Gran Malecón), which extends about three miles along the west bank of the Magdalena River, is also worth visiting. The area offers a variety of culinary, sports, cultural, and recreational activities.?
Walled city of Cartagena?
Cartagena is a city located on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. At the end of the 16th century, the city constructed a wall to protect its inhabitants from being robbed by pirates. The wall still stands today and has become a spectacle of the city and its colorful architecture. Cartagena’s wall is complemented by its forts, built to protect from French and British invasion. Today you can walk along the wall, around the forts, and take in the city’s unique Spanish colonial buildings.?
Tayrona National Park?
Tayrona National Park is located close to the city of Santa Marta, on the Caribbean coast. Tayrona National Park is a sacred area for the local indigenous community of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The park boasts some of the country’s most beautiful beaches, backed by the rainforest and the snowcapped mountains of the Sierra Nevada.?
Bogotá
Bogotá is the gateway to South America, one of the Latin American hubs for entrepreneurs, and a city with a wide variety of international corporate opportunities. Bogotá is the largest city in Colombia and the third-largest in the Americas. It covers an area of almost 2,000 km2 and has a population of more than seven million people.
The city is also very green thanks to its parks and the hills that extend along its eastern boundary, dwarfed by their two highest points, Monserrate and Guadalupe. The landscape that the people of Bogotá enjoy daily—the sea of green that makes up the Andes mountain range, rising up in the east—would be nearly impossible to find in any other large city.??
Salt Cathedral?
First constructed in 1816 by the miners working within the salt mine as an area to pray, the Salt Cathedral has developed dramatically into a major tourist attraction on the outskirts of Bogotá. Located in Zipaquirá, 32 miles (52 kilometers) from Colombia’s capital, Bogotá. The Salt Cathedral is made up of a number of attractions including a 3,000-seat cathedral, the seven stations of the cross, a climbing wall, 3D movie theater, museum, art gallery and café.

Malecón 2000?
The main attraction of this city is the Malecon 2000 (or Malecón Simon Bolivar), an ambitious urban regeneration project covering 2.5 on the banks of the Guayas River. This boardwalk begins at the old South market, now known as Crystal Palace, a building dating from the early twentieth century. During the walk also various entertainment centers like colorful gardens, restaurants and stores, and several historic monuments. Perhaps the most representative of these monuments is La Rotonda, an icon of the city, representing the interview between Jose de San Martin Simon Bolivar, which marked the beginning of the South American Independence. In addition, you can also visit the Moorish Tower or Clock Tower, built in 1930.
Santa Ana Hill?
At the end of the seawall will find the Anthropological Museum and Contemporary Art (MAAC), which has several rooms of permanent and temporary exhibitions, and is located at the foot of the emblematic Santa Ana hill. This hill is one of the natural viewpoints of the city and you can access it after climbing 456 steps, located on one side of the colorful houses in the neighborhood Las Pe?as. At the top of the hill you will find a charming little church and a lighthouse from where you have a breathtaking view of the city and the Guayas River. The neighborhood Las Penas is also known as the bohemian neighborhood of the city, because here there are several cafes ideal for a cocktail while enjoying live music presentation.?
Malecón El Salado?
Another major regeneration works in Guayaquil is the Malecón del Salado, which connects to the Malecón 2000 through Nueve de Octubre Avenue. This boardwalk runs the banks of the estuary Salado and has several attractions, including a variety of sources with water games, places for public spectacles, a suspension bridge and more. It is a recreation of Guayaquil and a major tourist attraction.?
Monta?ita
Monta?ita, Ecuador is considered one of the best beaches in Ecuador’s south coast, and it is the perfect place to learn how to surf, or challenge yourself with huge waves if you are already a pro, or just relax and do absolutely nothing on the beach.?

Music and dancing define the modern lifestyle in Mexico City—mariachi, salsa dancing, Norte?o music, and more.
Specific to Mexico, the Day of the Dead's parades and fiestas bring out the youthful population to celebrate life and death. The city's party culture starts on Thursday, fondly called little Friday, and can range from salsa dancing to boat parties to mariachi festivals.
