Learn how Upbound is optimizing team member feedback in this quick read from Tran Taylor, EVP - CHRO!

As a company, you take the good and you take the bad, especially when it comes to your coworkers’ thoughts and comments. If you want to learn how Upbound is optimizing team member feedback, check out this quick read from Tran Taylor , EVP - CHRO!?In our last article, I shared the importance and value of coworker feedback; if you missed it, be sure to check it out!

At Upbound, we are doubling down on our coworker feedback that drives our efforts to support our people strategy and business objectives. Last fall, we launched our annual Engagement Survey that focused on five specific categories:

1.?????Professional Development

2.?????Communication

3.?????Leadership Effectiveness & Connectivity

4.?????Coworker Engagement

5.?????Coworker Experience & Enablement

Well, we heard our coworkers when they told us they would like to see resources and tools that can support them on their professional journey. Who wouldn’t want to work for a company that values and truly listens to their coworkers’ feedback and makes the investment to take immediate action based on the results. We have a diverse coworker population; with that comes the understanding of their individualized differences and the flexibility to meet them where they are on their professional journey.??

At Upbound, we believe our biggest competitive advantage is our people. As we evaluate coworker development programs, we want to offer tools that will have the most impact on our bottom-line, while promoting a learning environment for coworkers and leaders. We want to provide a safe and productive workplace so coworkers can deliver meaningful, challenging and rewarding work, which ultimately benefits our customers. This is such a priority for our leadership team that we have developed our HR 2023 value proposition focused on enhancing the “coworker experience.”

As with many companies making the transition to a “new normal” post-pandemic, Upbound is no different. We are aiming to reestablish what the coworker experience should look and feel like, while also trying to understand what matters most to our coworkers who are transitioning from being 100% remote to a hybrid work model that fits their work and home life – we want to be sure to get this right!

2023 – The Year of Enhancing the Coworker Experience at Upbound!

As our coworkers have told us, they want to see resources and tools that will help them take their career to the next level.?This year, we have begun to launch RAC University for our field coworkers, and now I am excited to share our new “MyCareer” offerings are available to our corporate coworkers, so they can own their career development while partnering with their leader to help them get there. We plan to enhance our existing performance management and coworker development tools and leverage external resources such as Linkedin Learning, 360 assessments and DiSC to accelerate learning and career development at Upbound.

As you can see, at Upbound, we have some exciting things on the horizon. I hope you have found this information helpful in better understanding the value we place on our coworkers, and the investment we are willing to make in supporting their professional growth. Check us out later this quarter, where I will share what we have on the horizon regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, but for now, I will leave you with a meaningful quote:

“Employees who believe that management is concerned about them as a whole person – not just an employee – are more productive, more satisfied, more fulfilled. Satisfied employees mean satisfied customers, which leads to profitability.”?- Anne Mulcahy
