We are still in January, the time of year that recruiters traditionally love.? There are plenty of fresh job opportunities to work on, and a greater number of budding candidates contacting recruiters, eager to be considered for new roles.?
However not all of those job seekers will fit the profile needed for the key vacancies within your business and those 'illusive' candidates are almost always in demand.
As I reflected over Glen Callums' Recruitment successes in 2023, I pondered our own recruiting methods to see what had worked best for us and found that there was one easy element of recruitment that brought solid results and IS easily shareable.
So here is a simple tip for recruitment success in 2024.?

Candidates are in high demand, as they were last year, and being able to make recruiting decisions quickly is a key factor in securing these candidates and removing them from the temptation of other offers.
So how did we help our clients speed up their part of the recruitment process in 2023 and how can you do this too?
Well, with the candidate market still remaining very tight, my tip for businesses looking to fill talent gaps in 2024 is to make sure you have in place a 'trusted recruitment decision maker', someone who can:

1.???? Quickly make themselves or colleagues available for interview – this gives you the best chance to secure a candidate whilst they are available and demonstrates you are keen to pursue.
2.???? Ensure that offers are made speedily – this will negate the need for the candidate to continue to explore other opportunities whilst they waiting for your decision or offer details.
3.???? Make competitive offers from the outset – if you have a figure in mind already, then avoid the risk of counter offers by presenting a keen offer from the get go.? This may sound counter intuitive, and not how business is done, but having experienced all offer scenarios this is proven to work really well. You are again securing your candidate. There are of course a long list of professional methods that recruiters use to attract and engage but there seems to be nothing more frustrating for a hiring manager than falling at the final hurdle.
Losing a candidate because a competitor has simply moved more quickly and secured them before you had the chance is soul destroying.
So strengthen your appeal to candidates by demonstrating that your company is dynamic, remove any pinch points and delays, and quickly make decisions on the recruitment process.
