Learn How Nations Are Adopting AI at NVIDIA GTC
On March 1, 2021, the US National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence released a 700+ page report providing a detailed overview of the country’s state of AI readiness plus a matrix of specific recommendations to improve the nation’s global competitiveness and national security. It is likely that the content of this report, and the urgency it conveys, will shape the U.S. Government’s AI strategy in the years to come. It is also likely that the Commission’s report will influence the AI policies and priorities of other nations in their sovereign pursuit of prosperity and security in the age of AI.
In 2017, Canada published the first national AI strategy, igniting a global race to develop similar plans. More than an intellectual exercise, these are national calls-to-action to harness the full potential of AI, the most important technological force of our time. While these documents ranged in scope and message, they share a set of common goals: drive economic growth, protect public health, expand citizen services, combat the impact of climate change, improve urban centers, and defend both physical and cyber infrastructure.
Trillions in growth is anticipated in the years ahead as the global GDP benefits from widespread adoption of AI. Government leaders are investing in their domestic AI ecosystems and infrastructure to capture their share of this economic opportunity and capitalize on the promise of this general-purpose technology to transform every facet of business, society and public governance.
NVIDIA’s GPU-accelerated computing platform is the world’s most powerful stack of hardware, software and partner ecosystems being leveraged right now to transform every industry from healthcare to retail. It is also being adopted by government ministries from agriculture and finance to healthcare and energy to advance both research and applied AI. In fact, from Thailand and Serbia to Egypt and Luxembourg, government leaders are shifting their focus from talking about AI policy to implementing AI programs..
