2022 saw renewed ambition for the brand industry as consumer attitudes across both B2B and B2C markets began to change. The changes led to brands producing some of most daring identity work we've seen in a long time.

While most of these were daring, not all were successful. We delved into the how and why some of these brands failed in their refresh, and why others were met with appeal.

?A brand refresh can quite literally be make or break for your brand - you really don't want it to be remembered for the wrong reasons. The best method for getting it right is to do your research and always pay attention to the details.?

AI content writer vs a human ??

You've probably heard about the recent launch of?Chat GPT?and it's quite possibly instigated the impending fear of: are the robots actually coming to take our jobs? Or even worse, is the premise of The Terminator films coming to life? ??

We had an idea a little while back (in November 2021, to be precise) to test this out. We compared the performance of two blogs and kept all the variables the same - the only thing that changed was who wrote it.

One blog was written by a human and another was written by AI. After over a year in the works, the?results?are in and we're excited to share them. We can't guarantee they'll help you sleep at night, but they're certainly an eye-opener ??

When speaking to branding professionals and designers you’re usually told that best practice involves ‘telling your story’, and this is for good reason: storytelling is arguably the most vital key to brand building and long-term emotional connections to your audience.

Whilst this is easy to say, it's not so easy to do. The first and often most difficult step to telling your brand's story successfully is actually finding out what this story is.?
