?? Intersectional Resources for creating Queer Inclusive Work Spaces. ??
Welcome back to another issue of “Learn. Connect. Grow.”
In this edition we’re celebrating Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with some amazing new features. We have part one of a two-way interview between two powerhouses from our collective, with Nancy J. Di Dia, PCC speaking to Eva Echo about her career in activism and solidarity between trans and cis women. You can catch part two, where Eva interviews Nancy in our next newsletter!
We are also proud to present the first video in a new series called “Queer Journeys” which explores individual stories of Queer migration and the unexpected paths we follow in search of ourselves, and community. This first edition follows Cindy Nehme , an award winning digital communication consultant who swapped her home town of Beirut for Barcelona and created a safe space for the Queer community in her restaurant ‘Bērytī’.
As always, that’s not all. Keep scrolling for WCS news, event invites and even more resources to help you continue your learning journey! Wishing you a lovely rest of your week,

WCS FEATURE:
Woman to Woman, Part 1.
Learning about workplace allyship, sexism and the common struggles cis and trans women share from a trans activist.
“Cis and trans people share so many common struggles… There’s currently a lot of talk about providing more assistance for cis women experiencing menopause, to ensure they can still thrive in the workplace, but little to no enthusiasm for trans people getting the same. A one-size-fits-all approach will simply diminish a person’s identity. Instead of gatekeeping who and why, we should be focusing on solutions that are individual-led, and for other employees to realise that nobody gets special treatment.” - Eva Echo

WCS INSIGHTS:
Make Your Voice Heard.
Have you joined in with our community polls on LinkedIn? Here are some findings from this month:
What we learnt:
?? 86% of respondents said they had been expected to volunteer to do work related to their marginalised identity. It’s time to rethink what contributions you expect of your marginalised employees!
????? Opinions were split over what the biggest priority for ERG's should be when caring for the communities they serve. 38% voted for Community Advocacy, with Supporting Mental Wellbeing close behind at 35%. Only 4% believed that Educating Allies should be an ERGs ultimate priority…
?? 73% of our community thought that the most important step businesses can take to support employees going through menopause is to allow hybrid and flexible working.
?? This week we’re asking what you think is the biggest issue facing women in the corporate world, so cast your vote now!
How we can help your organisation navigate the DEI landscape effectively?
