Applications now open for Bootcamp 4.0
Starts September 2020.
With a changing job market and the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, there has never been a better time to upskill and embark on a new career in technology. The School of Code is now offering 48 people the opportunity to apply for a FREE, 16 week coding bootcamp which will be taught entirely online.
What is a bootcamp?
During the bootcamp, participants will learn the fundamentals of programming and web development with cutting edge technologies like JavaScript, Node and React as well as learning industry best practices guided by top tech professionals.
Who can apply?
Anyone can apply. Applicants don’t even need to have seen a line of code before. The only criteria is to be a resident in the West Midlands and have a love of problem solving.
The course prides itself on it’s diversity, with a 50:50 gender split, age-range of 18-60, and demographics matching those of Birmingham.
Employability
The School of Code has run three bootcamps so far, with a 90% employment rate. Previous graduates have successfully secured roles at The Economist, Bravissimo, Santander, and more.
Why is the bootcamp free?
The School of Code is focused on providing a free route into tech, and is supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority as well as employers who hire bootcampers from the course. Collectively they aim to continue to show more people that learning to code is fun, sociable, team-based and for everyone.
