"Your life is your business", was something my dad said absently just once that now kept running through my mind.
If only he was alive to explain what that really meant.
"I want to do something with computers and business", I said to the lady at the Tulsa University registrar.
She apparently only heard "computers" and sent me to Keplinger Hall with the steel and black. You went downstairs to learn chemistry and other sciences with your lab coat in the basement as the tension and BO increased.
I went back and repeated my request. She then sent me to the Business Administration Hall for Management Information Systems with skills like Accounting and Business Law - plus technical courses.
It was my first real lesson that you had to be persistent, actually talk to people, and expect them to just be doing routines they didn't really understand.
