Leaping into Artificial Intelligence
?Leaping into Artificial Intelligence
The term Artificial intelligence (AI) was first coined decades ago in the year 1956 by John McCarty at the Dartmouth conference. He defined Artificial engineering as the science and engineering of making intelligent machines in a sense AI is a technique of getting machines to work and behave like humans. AI tries to make computers “smart”. Artificial intelligence is not human intelligence, but it can be like human thinking, and it may exceed human intelligence also.
Research in this area includes speech recognition, expert systems, language processing, image recognition, and robotics.
AI has been able to accomplish this by creating machines and robots that are used in fields like marketing, healthcare, marketing, business analytics, and many more. However, there are lots of applications that we use in our day-to-day lives that are not perceived as AI. For instance, have you ever wondered how Google gives us such accurate search results or how our Facebook feed gives us content based on your interest? The answer to these questions is Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, and Deep Learning.
Artificial intelligence is the science of making machines behave like humans. Machine learning is the subset of AI that focuses on getting machines to make decisions by feeding them with data. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning which uses the concept of neural networks in solving complex problems. Hence, these fields are connected. Machine learning and deep learning aid artificial intelligence by providing a set of algorithms and neural networks to solve data-driven problems.
However, AI is not restricted only to machine learning and deep learning fields. It covers ?domains of fields including object detection, expert systems computer vision, robotics, natural language processing, and so on
Types of Artificial Intelligence:-
1) Artificial Narrow Intelligence: - Artificial narrow intelligence (ANI) also known as weak AI is the application of AI only to specific tasks. Examples; Alexa (which operates within a limited predefined range of functions), face verification that you see on iPhone, the autopilot feature at Tesla, Google maps, etc.
2) Artificial General Intelligence: - Artificial general intelligence (AGI) also known as strong AI, involves machines that possess the ability to perform any intellectual task that a human being can.
3) Artificial Superintelligence: - Artificial superintelligence (ASI) refers to the time when the capability of computers will surpass humans. ASI is presently seen as a hypothetical situation as depicted in the movies and science fiction books where machines will take over the world.
