Lean startups need the help of super networks. Help the next generation companies kick off!

I feel there is like a wave building up, with senior professionals who dive into the start-up scene and create great new stuff. Obviously the downsizing of traditional companies puts a lot of creative minds free to rethink opportunities, but I also see a growing number of really experienced and talented people who quit their safe jobs to become entrepreneurs. How can we all help them succeed?

One of them is my good friend, Anders B?rde, who after a decade or so in business development for major Telcos, kicked off the innovative company MOBLRN a year or two ago. Their unique micro learning platform makes it fun, easy and effective to serve bite-sized learning for organizations through the smartphone. They use the striking description "An espresso for the mind", and it says a lot about the kick and motivation that can be created when people have those 5 minutes to take in new stuff during the workday and in between tasks. Another is my fantastic wife, Katja, who just launched the coolest concept for modular high rise garden beds. Her young company BEDD aims to become "Montana for your garden or terrace", and their smart, modular and timeless products will help make that happen. The trend towards urban gardening and homegrown food will for sure open up for huge opportunity. Maybe you know a project architect or a premium gardening store who this would be perfect for?

Because even the most experienced and dedicated entrepreneurs need to think lean and grow smart in the early phase. This is where I come in, and you all come in. Not necessarily as customers at once, but as ambassadors for great solutions and competent entrepreneurs who need the buzz and reach of strong networks.
