LEAN SIX SIGMA 5.0 CLUB'S CORE VALUES

In this first LEAN SIX SIGMA 5.0 CLUB’ s post I am excited to share with you a perspective that I've honed over a couple of decades of experience and learning. This perspective has not only shaped my professional journey but has become the very bedrock of my approach as a fervent Lean Six Sigma enthusiast.
In an era where the mantra of "continuous improvement" reverberates across industries, it's all too easy to be fascinated by the allure of cutting-edge tools and methods offered by all by disciplines such as Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC), Agile, and others. While tools can certainly yield impressive results in the short term, consider the analogy of a high-quality lawnmower when confronting an overgrown lawn, the true secret to maintaining your pristine garden lies in the way you tend to it, it's the habits you cultivate that keep the grass at the desired level, and this, my friends, has nothing to do with the lawnmower you use. For this reason what truly distinguishes us is not merely the knowledge of these tools, but a set of core values and behaviors that exemplify our unwavering commitment to excellence, adaptability, and sustainable progress.
Through years of immersion in this discipline, I've gleaned a profound truth: being a true Lean Six Sigma practitioner entails transcending proficiency in methodologies, which serves as the baseline. It's about nurturing behaviors that seamlessly integrate into our professional DNA, becoming as instinctive as breathing, and ultimately evolving into a way of life.
When I first started this post, I listed over twenty different habits and values. However, in order to maximize effectiveness and avoid bulky, complicated lists that may be difficult to remember, I improved and reduced the choice, eventually resulting in a list of my top eight essential values. Join me in this exploration of Lean Six Sigma Club's core values, where we'll delve into how these principles transform not just our processes, but our very mindset and approach. Together, let's ignite a culture of continuous improvement that propels us towards unprecedented heights of success.

1 年I like your list of core values. My favourites being ‘Share the Knowledge Freely’ and ‘Break the Mold’. You may want to think about following the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (iLSSi) because our community members and partners share many of the same values. We are evolving away from the Lean and Six Sigma style taught in the 1990’s
