I am thrilled to share some remarkable updates and achievements that highlight our dedication to excellence and innovation at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah. This year, DSFH Jeddah has made comprehensive preparations at our onsite Hajj clinic, ensuring that pilgrims receive the highest standard of medical care during their journey.

We are excited to share that DSFH Jeddah has successfully completed its sixth JCI certification renewal with outstanding results. Additionally, our nursing department has achieved a significant milestone by earning reaccreditation from the prestigious ANCC for the next four years, demonstrating our exceptional standards of nursing care.

At our recent Fakeeh Care Academy (FCA) Committee meeting, we reviewed the third-year progress of the Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Award for Medical Research, Innovation, Health Education, and Medical Training, affirming our commitment to advancing healthcare education and research. Also, this month's PFAC meeting, chaired by Dr. Dr. Wail A. Tashkandi MD FABS FCCMC , focused on important issues like open visiting hours for ICU patients' families to foster person centered care.

Among many success stories, I would like to highlight a remarkable medical achievement last month led by Wajdi Naseer and comprising Dr. Ahmed Talba and Dr. Mohamed Youssef, performed a rare and complex surgery to remove a peripheral nerve tumor from a 44-year-old patient delivering exceptional medical care and advancing patient outcomes.?

Our new strategic partnership with Saudi Post | SPL Saudi Post Logistics will enhance our operational capabilities and expand our service offerings, further strengthening our leadership in the healthcare industry. Additionally, we were honored to host a distinguished delegation from prestigious British healthcare companies, fostering international collaboration and sharing best practices to further enhance our healthcare services.

As part of our mission to educate and engage the community, our recent online podcast series contributes on Diabetic Foot Care and Brain Surgery Prevention. While on-ground we hosted a successful event at Mall of Arabia focusing on family medicine and orthopedics. Both initiatives provided valuable health insights and promoted better health awareness among the public.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of the Presidential Recognition Award, Dr. Rana Koussayer (Head of Dentistry) and Eng. Subil Ibrahim him from Striving Knowledge for their outstanding contributions and excellence in their respective fields.

The hospital successfully retained its Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation following a rigorous survey by a team of JCI experts. The results were exceptionally positive, with the surveyors identifying minimal findings, a testament to DSFH Jeddah's unwavering commitment to patient safety and quality care. The official announcement took place in the presence of the JCI team, DSFH Jeddah's dedicated staff, and hospital executives. This reaccreditation signifies DSFH Jeddah's continued adherence to the highest international healthcare standards, solidifying its position as a leader in providing exceptional medical services to the Jeddah community.

In a move aiming to enhance patient convenience and accessibility, Fakeeh Care Group announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Post ( Saudi Post | SPL ). The signing ceremony, held in Jeddah, marked the official launch of a home delivery medication service for patients across all Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.?

Establishing a Patient Family Advisory Council at DSFH-J

Fakeeh Care periodically convenes the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) under the leadership of Sara Al-Rumaikhani alongside members of the DSFH-J team. The purpose of these gatherings is to provide valuable guidance on improving the experiences of patients, families, and staff. The council ensures that the perspectives and experiences of individuals are not only heard but also integrated into service and quality improvements. DSFMC Jeddah Promotes Health Awareness at Mall of Arabia Event

Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Medical Center (DSFMC) in Jeddah hosted an awareness activation at the Mall of Arabia! This event aimed to educate the public about the importance of family medicine and orthopedics.?

Attendees gained valuable insights into these healthcare fields, likely learning about preventive care and treatment options.?The activation wasn't all information visitors also received gifts as a thank you for their time and interest in their well-being.

Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Team Successfully Performs Rare Peripheral Nerve Tumor Surgery

A medical team led by Dr. Wajdi Naseer and the medical staff, Dr. Wajdi Naseer, Dr. Ahmed Talba, Dr. Mohamed Youssef, at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah successfully performed a rare surgery to remove a peripheral nerve tumor from a 44-year-old patient.?

?

This complex surgery, the first of its kind at the hospital, shows the high skill and expertise of the team in handling difficult cases.

?

The patient had been suffering from pain and weakness in her lower right limb for a long time. After undergoing examinations and X-rays, a 4 cm tumor was discovered inside the peroneal nerve, a peripheral nerve responsible for movement in the foot.?

?

The surgery was risky because any damage to this nerve could cause foot damage or paralysis.

?

Thanks to careful planning and teamwork with the neurophysiology team, Dr. Naseer and his colleagues—Dr. Ahmed Talba and Dr. Mohamed Youssef, successfully removed the tumor without harming the nerve. The patient was able to leave the hospital just one day after the surgery, fully healthy and with normal foot movement restored.

Weekly Lunch with the CEO, Fostering Connection and Innovation

In our ongoing commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, we are pleased to introduce the "Weekly Lunch with the CEO" initiative. This new program invites randomly selected staff members from various positions and departments, both medical and non-medical, to share there lunch break with CEO.

These lunches provide a unique opportunity for staff and leadership to connect on a personal level, allowing for open dialogue and the exchange of ideas and experiences. By bringing together a diverse group of employees, we aim to bridge gaps between different departments and roles, fostering a greater sense of unity and shared purpose.

During these informal gatherings, participants are encouraged to discuss their insights, challenges, and suggestions for enhancing our operations. This direct line of communication with the CEO ensures that every voice is heard and valued, promoting a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

We believe that these interactions will not only strengthen relationships within our organization but also inspire innovative solutions that drive excellence in our services. Celebrating Philippines Independence Day at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Jeddah!

On June 12th, we joyfully celebrated Philippine Independence Day by showcasing a delightful array of Filipino cuisine in our canteen. This event is part of our ongoing effort to honor the diverse cultures within our hospital community, which includes healthcare professionals from over 40 nationalities.

The canteen buzzed with excitement as team members gathered to enjoy these delicious dishes and learn more about the rich history and traditions of the Philippines.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagdala ng kanilang kultura at pagkain upang ipagdiwang ang araw na ito kasama namin.(Thank you very much to everyone who brought their culture and food to celebrate this day with us.)

This initiative not only allows us to appreciate the rich tapestry of cultures within our team but also fosters a sense of unity and respect. We are proud to support and celebrate the diversity that makes our hospital a special place to work.
