Leading Scaling Agility with Human Intelligence - Sympathy (Part 2 of 5)

Recap:

David Brooks has inspired these topics, and you can read the first post here

Introduction:

The second talent of Human Intelligence that David Brooks talks of is Sympathy

Sympathy: the ability to fall into a rhythm with those around you and thrive in groups.

Leading Scaling Agility for large groups of people is an act of Sympathy. It is the ability to celebrate the achievements and joys of those around us, fostering a sense of community, gratitude, and positive social bonds.

As we scale the number of people and human interactions, we incrementally grow our ability to work in a cadence that suits all of us. I have often found more than one "speed" at play in the groups at work, and yet, together, there is a larger sympathy and symphony!

And so, that is the talent and challenge #2 - how do we find Sympathy for all of us in these large groups? I am curious about your reflections and look forward to these conversations when we meet online or IRL.
