Leading the Revolution in Precision Manufacturing: The DH-Robotics Precision Force Control Direct Drive Linear Module is Here

The testing solutions traditionally used by manufacturers can be divided into two main types: manual testing solutions or spring-force controlled servo cylinder testing solutions.

However, both manual testing and spring-force controlled servo cylinder solutions have multiple drawbacks: lack of data feedback, slow response, inability to control force, and insufficient positioning accuracy. These issues not only affect the quality and performance of individual products but may also reduce production line efficiency, thus increasing production costs.

DLE Series: Born for Precision Assembly and Accurate Testing Innovation

DH-Robotics has been deeply involved with customers, solving niche production processes and application pain points to explore scenario-based applications. After identifying the bottlenecks in the process, DH-Robotics immediately began developing solutions to address these customer challenges.

The newly launched DLE Series Direct Drive Linear Modules are specifically designed for innovations in precision assembly and accurate testing.

The DLE Series is primarily used in industries such as 3C electronics and semiconductors for processes such as insertion/extraction testing, pressing testing, alignment, pushing, and linear scanning.

Precision Force Control, Soft Landing

When the output force is between 2 and 20N, the DLE series offers force control precision of ±0.5N. The force control deviation is small, and the force is maintained steadily. Paired with DH-Robotics' self-developed SAC-N2 dual-axis driver, the DLE series provides soft landing protection. As a result, it is perfectly suited for fine operations like precision assembly and testing, avoiding issues like excessive force damaging components, insufficient force leading to poor assembly, or inaccurate test data.

High Precision

The linear repeat positioning accuracy of the DLE Series reaches ±2μm. In insertion and pressing detection applications, it prevents contact failure or mechanical damage caused by positional deviation, and eliminates the impact of testing on the product's electrical and mechanical stability. In precision assembly, this feature helps reduce defect rates in the process.

Compact Size, Big Power

While meeting high precision requirements, the DLE Series also delivers excellent speed and thrust performance, with a maximum speed of 1.6m/s, maximum acceleration of 4G, peak thrust of 54N, and continuous thrust of 18N.

Real-Time Response and Data Feedback

The SAC-N2 dual-axis driver, developed by DH-Robotics, has a bandwidth response of 3.5KHz for the speed loop, ensuring fast response and strong anti-disturbance capabilities. With 16-bit high-resolution data collection channels, it can precisely and in real-time capture data generated during actual application.

With the collaboration of the SAC-N2, the DLE Series enables real-time response and data feedback in production line applications. Real-time response helps improve production cycles and efficiency, while real-time data feedback monitors the state of the DLE Series, allowing timely adjustments to operational deviations to ensure accuracy and consistency, thereby reducing defect rates.

In particular, in some factories, the MES system automatically collects various data from the production site. The DLE Series from DH-Robotics can provide real-time data on position, torque, and other process parameters.

Easy Deployment and Operation

The DLE Series is compact, with dimensions only the size of a smartphone, which allows it to easily fit into small spaces. The weight of the module with a 30mm total stroke is only 690g, and with a 50mm stroke, it weighs just 970g, both under 1kg.

In addition, the DLE Series can be controlled via bus or pulse signals, with adjustable torque, position, and speed, making installation quick and simple.

Mobile Charging C-Type Port Insertion and Extraction Aging Test

According to the customer’s actual production needs, one or multiple DLE Series Direct Drive Linear Modules can be used in conjunction with the SAC-N2 dual-axis driver solution.

Taking the mobile charging C-type port insertion and extraction aging test as an example: After lifting and positioning the product on the fixture, the DLE Series drives the testing line to repeatedly insert and extract the charging C-port over 10,000 times, collecting force variation data for each insertion and extraction.

It’s worth mentioning that the DLE Series features open-loop force control, allowing customers to save on additional sensor costs while also reducing the deployment space required for the entire system.

Additionally, during insertion and extraction testing, the force-displacement curve is fed back in real-time. The insertion and extraction force is adjustable to accommodate various working conditions. If there is an anomaly in force or displacement, an alarm is triggered for tracking and analysis.
