Leading with Purpose: Get to Know The Women At Soreto - Meet Talulah

At Soreto, we're all about gender equality. So, for International Women's Day 2024, we chatted with the awesome women on our team to hear what inspires them and what gender inclusion truly means to them.

Meet Talulah Walsh , Referral Specialist at Soreto

1. Hi Talulah, tell us a bit about yourself and what you do at Soreto?

I'm a Referral Specialist at Soreto and I really enjoy this role. There’s always a new challenge or idea to bring to the table, which, as I’m part of such a friendly, driven, and supportive team, allows for constant learning and growth as an individual.

I've nearly always worked with or under female management, which is not often the case in many businesses. I'm thankful that I’ve been able to experience working with some amazing women who inspire me to do better for myself while also understanding the different challenges that women face at work - allowing me to aim higher than I otherwise would have. This allows for an honest and open space to be able to deal with any difficult conversations to thrive within the role.

2. What is your proudest achievement whilst working at Soreto?

My proudest achievement at Soreto is being part of a presentation at Digital Disruptors. This event encourages children and young adults, who may not normally have the opportunity to learn and work within the Tech Industry, that it’s possible to do anything when you put your mind to it. I was pleased to see so many young females also taking an interest. Hopefully, I was able to empower them by talking about my own experience and showing that it is possible.

3. Which women inspire you the most?

Many women inspire me, from family to global icons. In terms of business inspiration, I would say Emma Marshall, founder of Movement is Medicine inspires me the most. She began Movement is Medicine to help educate people on the symptoms of stress and to raise awareness for how interconnected mental and physical health really is. She wants to encourage community, inclusivity, and movement and improve health/well-being, which inspires me to do and be better.

4. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #InspireInclusion, what does this mean to you?

To me, #Inspireinclusion is one of the most important factors when it comes to thriving in life/work and allowing those around you to do the same. Whether at work or not, the minimum kindness we can offer others is to be inclusive and understanding of people's individuality. We should strive for inclusivity in all aspects of life to show acceptance, compassion, and support so we all have the opportunity to do well.

Incredible thanks, Talulah! As we celebrate International Women's Day 2024, we are reminded of the strength and diversity within our team and the ongoing journey towards achieving gender equality. We remain committed to amplifying the voices of women and advocating for greater inclusivity in all aspects of our work and beyond.
