THE ROLE: The TECHNICAL PRODUCT MARKETING CONSULTANT will be expected to take the company's product marketing efforts to the next level while bringing their entrepreneurial spirit to the team. For this 3+ month REMOTE engagement, we are looking for a results-driven technical product marketer with a proven track record of driving the value propositioning and differentiation of products and services, while clearly illustrating a customer’s journey into the cloud. The Technical Product Marketing Consultant will manage the market insights function that will track competitors, industry trends, and customer feedback for input to the product roadmap process. They will manage the process of converting market insights into the prioritization of new products and enhancements to existing products, while providing market feedback on pricing, positioning, and messaging for Company products. Attention to detail and an ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is critical. The Technical Product Consultant will be the expert in ERP Managed Services buyers and be able to successfully transfer this knowledge to the sales channel. The initial effort will be to support a specific offering; however, the position could grow into a full-time position.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES       

·        Serve as the Technical Product Marketing lead on new and existing product development efforts 

·        Develop Marketing Requirements Documents highlighting service positioning, target market, competitive assessment, features, and recommended go-to-market strategy

·        Develop product messaging collateral that elevates and differentiates our products in the market

·        Work with the Product and Marketing teams to plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

·        Lead integrated marketing campaign efforts jointly with the Marketing, Product Management, Business development and Sales teams to identify new demand generation and customer cross-selling efforts

·        Market intelligence – be the expert on our targeted ERP Managed Services buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to crush them

·        Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams in the design and testing of market research to support value proposition development for existing and new service offerings

·        Track substitute offerings and competitors, competitive offerings, and competitive pricing at the individual service level. Understand competitive dynamics, market segmentation criteria and main market value drivers.

·        Interact with industry analysts (e.g., Gartner) to understand emerging market trends and influences. Incorporate findings to inform value proposition and go-to-market initiatives.

·        Manage customer facing product collateral and communications. Maintaining a consistent customer messaging experience.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·        5+ years of experience with Product Marketing in a leadership role

·        2+ years of experience with Hyper Scale Cloud Providers, Managed Services and ERP Applications

·        Business focus with strong technical background; well-developed analytical skills

·        Ability to quickly understand and adapt to the changing ERP managed services market

·        Experience with aligning products with customer segments to maximize revenue opportunities

·        Solution driven mentality

·        Report strategy and product alignment progress to the executive leadership team

·        Develop on-demand reporting capabilities to measure product performance to enhance decision making

·        Research skills in evaluating competitive landscape and identifying new opportunities

·        Experience in bringing new products and innovations to the market

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation experience

·        Excellent relationship building skills with a good understanding of different cultures and how to work with them to deliver results, in a global organization

·        Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams

·        Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment
