Today’s successes… ??
…are the lagging indicators of yesterday’s choices.?
And since today will be yesterday, tomorrow…
What am I going to do today? ??
What are you going to do today? ??
Earlier in the winter, I caught a cold.
I had all the symptoms.
I was stuffed up;?
Complete with the small ah-choos and coughing ???
I tested at once.
It’s the post-pandemic way!
It was NOT covid ????.
Just an ‘old school’ cold virus ??
It did take its time, though.
At first it seemed to improve a couple of days in.
So, I got outside on the weekend for a 5 km run ??♀? and 7 km walk ??♂?
Then, it suddenly seemed to worsen ??
So, I got to bed a bit earlier each night ???
and slept a bit later ???
I declined joining a friend at an Ottawa Senators game ???
I opted not to visit with my dad over that weekend ???
And I even missed attending a 75th birthday ??
I choose to rest instead ??
Why??
Because the choices I make today affect my results in the future?
Should I rename the column #RestingReflections this week??! ??
What about you, Self Made Nation?
Do you find it easy to rest? Do you rest proactively, or reactively?
?
I’d love to know!
