What is Ethical Leadership?

Ethical leadership is the practice of being accountable and making decisions that are not only effective but also right and fair. This leadership approach integrates core values such as honesty, trust, charisma, fairness, and responsibility into all aspects of leadership.

The Role of an Ethical Leader

The role of an ethical leader extends beyond typical managerial duties; it encompasses the moral compass of the business. Ethical leaders shape the culture and values of their teams in several pivotal ways:

Visionary ??: Providing a clear moral vision and setting the ethical tone for the business. By defining and articulating core values, they lead by example and inspire everyone to follow suit.

Mentor ??: Guiding employees through ethical dilemmas and modelling ethical behaviours. As mentors, they provide support and advice, helping team members navigate complex decisions with confidence and moral clarity.

Great content. Integrity can only be determined strangely when there is stress. Before an earthquake two buildings may look the same from the outside but when the shaking comes only one is still standing. The difference is in the foundations. Same with leaders. Great article.
