The LBH Mozambique Partnership: Strengthening Regional Presence
A significant milestone in Southern Ropes’ growth is our partnership with LBH Mozambique. For over 30 years, LBH Mozambique has provided ships agency and logistics services, with an expansive reach across Mozambique’s bulk commodity ports.?
This partnership opens up new opportunities for both companies, combining LBH’s deep understanding of the local market with Southern Ropes’ high-quality, synthetic ropes. Together, we can now supply the maritime and mining industries with ready access to rope products from two prime warehouse locations. Nacala and Maputo.
This collaboration not only enhances Southern Ropes' reach in the commercial maritime sector, but also in the rapidly growing mining sphere.?For LBH Mozambique it provides another value added service to its many maritime customers.

Southern Ropes recently celebrated the re-opening of our Johannesburg office. This retail store is located in the bustling Linbro Business Park. The new store is fully stocked with a wide variety of ropes tailored for marine, industrial, and recreational use. The grand opening featured exclusive promotions, and personalised assistance from our team, with customers gaining firsthand access to Southern Ropes' expertise.?
To celebrate the reopening, a 10% discount on all in-store purchases is available throughout October, ensuring customers receive high-quality products at even better value. International Workboat Show 2024: Expanding into New Markets
Looking ahead, we are gearing up for the International Workboat Show in New Orleans, taking place from November 12 - 14. This exciting event gives us the opportunity to collaborate with Gulf Marine Contractors (GMC), a highly respected maritime logistics and port agency services provider based in the United States, with a special focus on the offshore energy market.
Through our collaboration with GMC, we have made significant strides in entering the US market. Our rope products, which GMC has introduced to their network, have sparked considerable interest. We are proud to be sharing a stand with them at the Workboat Show, where we’ll be showcasing our innovative rope solutions to a global audience.
