Leading from the Back - To achieve the impossible

Leading from the Back - To achieve the impossible

?? Exciting Takeaways from Management Communications with Ravi Kant ??

I had the incredible opportunity to attend a Management Communications class by Mr. Ravi Kant, the former CEO and MD of Tata Motors and author of Leading from the Back – To Achieve the Impossible??. The session was truly insightful and brought new perspectives on leadership.

Here are a few key lessons from the session that resonated with me:

1. How should I be?

Leadership starts from within. It’s about being open-minded, owning your work, and preparing yourself for success by embracing continuous growth.

2. How should I deal with the team?

Building a high-performing team involves trust, collaboration, and leveraging everyone’s strengths. Engage your team members by maximizing their involvement and inspiring them to take ownership.

3. How should I deal with the task?

It’s crucial to encourage bold accomplishments rather than settling for incremental changes. Leadership from the back means guiding your team to think big and push boundaries, while still ensuring everyone is aligned with the task at hand.

This session was a great reminder that leadership is not always about being in front, but about empowering and guiding your team from behind, to achieve more than what's expected.
