Where do you want a leader if you’re entering unchartered territory? I know what I would prefer. That’s a leader who leads from the front. And that’s exactly what we’re doing when it comes to the evolution of finance and accounting professionals.
We’re not experts in everything that goes on. If you need to choose technology options or do process mining, there are better options. When it comes to developing skills you and your team members need to be impactful, we’re your go-to people.
That’s because we’re finance professionals ourselves who have lived through many of the struggles you face daily. We’re painfully aware though that these struggles change over time. To preserve our edge, we need to reemerge ourselves into finance functions across companies and industries for shorter periods.
We need to showcase and lead from the front on how you create impact as finance and accounting professionals. This is no easy task, and many would say it cannot be done on an interim basis. Why is that? It’s because even those that have worked in the company for years struggle with creating this impact.
However, we employ an approach we call inside-out consulting. We work in your team from the inside, we take a customer-centric approach to building relationships, and we focus on solving the key needs of finance and business leaders.
Building a team of best-in-class business partners
It’s paramount that we do this ourselves to remain in touch with the latest challenges in the finance function. We believe this process can be replicated and it is naturally a major part of our learning and development programs.
Recently, we have been working on taking it a step further though. We have started to build a team of best-in-class business partners, business controllers, financial analysts, etc. They can go into your company too and create an impact in just a few months.
Here’s what one customer said about our approach and team members:
“We chose BPI as they are on forefront in terms of business partnering, and the combined experience the team possesses was a deciding factor. BPI also comes across as a professional team with easy-to-implement solutions and tools.”
No one does this with a specific focus on business partnering, however, it’s exactly this approach that means we create more value than anyone else in the interim space. And the value is far from just the work we do ourselves. We see ourselves as role models who can lead the way for the rest of the team, developing them from the inside out.
Our approach works particularly well in mid-sized companies where the team is not big enough to run a formal training program. Then our inside-out approach allows us to bring our toolbox up close to the other team members, showcase how it works, and teach them how to use it as we do our own work.
This is simply best-in-class, and you won’t find it anywhere else in the market. It’s mostly a local service though so we’re looking to scale in Copenhagen, Denmark by hiring senior consultants and managers. Later, we’re looking at international expansion driven by our learning and development programs but with an opportunity to deploy inside-out consultants as well.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want us to help your team too! Or if you want to talk about the opportunities of working with us at BPI.
We’ve got your back finance and accounting professionals
We know a lot of change is happening in the finance function. That won’t go away probably ever. That’s why we have made it our purpose to lead you through these changes emerging as resilient and impactful finance and accounting professionals.
You will see how through our content we deliver simple, practical, and actionable tips to you daily on how to navigate these changes. Whether through our content, our learning and development programs, or by working as an inside-out consultant we have your best interest at heart.
We can’t promise you that the change you need to go through will be easy. We can promise to make it easier. You can learn more about us and how we work in this short video. What challenges are you going through as a finance professional today? Tell us about them in the comments or send us a message on LinkedIn or on [email protected].
Welcome to 100,000 new followers
Life on LinkedIn is a thing of its own. Sometimes things are slow, and you wonder if what you do is still relevant. Other times things that were previously unimaginable happen in just a few weeks. Every year I wonder to myself how the next year could possibly be even better than the past. Yet, somehow, it always seems to happen.
This past quarter definitely has a life on its own. An explosion in followers, many of whom have subscribed to this newsletter, on my profile. More than 93,000 followers clicked “Follow” in Q2 of 2023. And since the start of Q3, another 12,000 have joined. That was… wait for it… LEGENDARY!
I’m humbled by the opportunity to share my insights to now more than one-quarter of a million followers! See below for further details on what happened in the quarter compliments of Shield .
In the coming quarter, we will be making some changes to our marketing platform though. We will be cutting down on the newsletter “Here’s the Future of FP&A and Business Partnering”. As a result, we have also discontinued the live show and podcast “The Softer Side of Finance”.
We plan to tell you more stories about how we create impact from the inside out instead. You will hear from our consultants and clients and how we create impact. We hope that you will enjoy learning more about this approach and how we work.
This newsletter (Trends in Finance and Accounting) and the #FinanceMaster Show (and podcast) will continue as always and aim for hitting 300,000 subscribers before the end of the year.
As always if you have any feedback or good ideas for us feel free to reach out. You know where to find me!
