Leading by Example
Revolutions don’t always start with the obvious players.
Like going green. Granted you’ve got the big, obvious players like Tesla, but then you also have smaller names like Brooks and even unexpected ones like the city of Dubai who have made interesting efforts and commitments that all add up.
And have you ever thought about how it takes an enormous amount of power to run a wireless network? Think about it – it’s a matter of powering thousands of cell sites in thousands of cities and towns nationwide.
That’s why I’m SO PROUD that T-Mobile has committed to going 100% renewable nationwide. And we’ll get it done in JUST THREE YEARS. We may not be the biggest player in wireless, but we’ll gladly continue to lead.
Last week, T-Mobile was recognized by the EPA and Green America as the industry leader in renewable energy. We’re now an EPA Green Power Partner, the only major wireless company in the Partnership for its entire U.S. footprint, and we were named the clear industry leader by Green America.
Maybe one day AT&T and Verizon will step up and match the commitment. Usually I’m all about “beating” the competition, but in this case, I can’t wait for them to join us so we can stand together and #CleanUpWireless!
And really, it’s something EVERY company can (and should) do!! Now granted, isn’t easy. It’s a sizeable investment. But the technology is here and it’s time to step up. It’s one of the most important investments businesses can make right now – and consumers agree!!
I recently saw that 90% of millennials say they’ll buy from a brand with social and environmental practices they trust. 95% also said they’d recommend those companies’ products to friends and families.
People are spending differently now. Consumers know they have options and there’s incredible power behind those options. People want convenience, value, and on a growing scale, reassurance that they’re supporting brands with good corporate responsibility.
Likewise, our renewable energy announcements have been met with positive sentiment. We’ve seen consumers confirm this is “yet another reason” they need to make the switch to T-Mobile or that they love being part of T-Mobile.
So make the important commitment, enjoy your increased customer loyalty, and watch new customers come join you. It’s a win-win-win.

Manager
1 年Leading by example: that’s a joke, I’ve been with T-Mobile less than a month and my interaction with “your” team is sad: 1st sales rep lied to get me to switch,2nd I complained to manager and he said he couldn’t do anything for me and 3rd when I reached out to the executive team (Teah Brown) she not only didn’t read the proof I submitted she pulled my chain for about a week and finally gave me the same excuse everyone else gave me… not even acknowledging that your sales reps are lying to people to get them to switch and then leaving them in the air with the excuse of the promotion has expired, to need keep their word. Even if it’s written word…the truth is that your represents you… VERY SAD!!!
