Leading, is in doing the right thing!

This was perhaps necessary

All the fear and the scare

There’s so much I want to do now

That never I could find time to spare

It pushed me to acknowledge the forgotten

And engage in some homely affair

There was a need to focus on the important

To attend to things that needed to heal and repair

Even nature was quick to recover

So light and fresh felt the air

 But some pushed for business as usual

Surging ahead without much thought or care

Instead of hearing the siren of fear

Some went on as usual, beating despair

Chanting the mantra to motivate others

“It will be just fine if we could dare”

Always taming the bull by the horn

Became the winning strategy, as a norm

Standing out, you thought you could be a hero

But truth be told, you might be just a glorified zero

To be a real hero you have to do much more

Else in place of respect, you will command abhor

The need to control with fear factor

Being human could be your strongest character

Sometimes you’ve got to give in for the benefit of all

Bending when needed, and rising after a fall

You have got to prove nothing, to nobody,

When you know you are the best, to your ability

 Leading is not about speeding to be the first in a race

But braking and pausing to do what’s right for the rest!
