Leading Developers in Dubai to Allocate 10-15% Quota for UAE Nationals in Property Projects
Dubai is implementing measures to increase the representation of UAE Nationals as real estate agents in property sales within the emirate. The goal is to allocate and sell between 10-15% of units in projects from some of Dubai’s largest developers through Emirati brokers.
?
This initiative is spearheaded by the Dubai Land Department, which has partnered with nine major developers in the initial phase. These developers include Emaar, Expo Dubai, Deyaar, Damac, Azizi, MAG, Sobha Realty, Ellington Properties, and Al Bait Al Duwaily Real Estate Development. This collaboration falls under the 'Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme' overseen by the Land Department, with the alliance forming the first phase of the program.
?
The objective is to increase Emirati participation across various job roles associated with the local property market. Furthermore, the initiative aims to encourage more UAE Nationals to pursue employment opportunities with developers in the second phase.
?
Additionally, the agreement involves joint projects between the Dubai Land Department and the developers to advance the real estate sector and promote a culture of innovation and sustainability.
?
These partnerships will also serve to offer guidance, professional training, and support for UAE National talents, with the aim of attracting them to the private sector and refining specialized skills. This effort is geared towards assisting them in establishing their own businesses within the real estate market.
?
The local real estate sector has been a significant attraction for fresh graduates in recent years. Leading government-backed developers have a considerable presence of Emiratis across their workforces. Now, the responsibility falls on private players to join in this effort, while also generating more opportunities in the fiercely competitive field of property brokerage.
