In 1990, in a meeting with designers at Apple, Steve Jobs asked "How can we create a music player that is so intuitive, it feels like magic?" and that gave birth to the iPod, revolutionising portable music players forever. As leaders, we do not wake up every day to rewrite history, but isn't every right question asked a step forward? What do questions do, in a collaborative business environment?

1 年Well said Abhirup ?? Unfortunately the art of asking “open ended” questions, without prejudice is missing with some leaders. They ask questions to engage, but expect an answer which reflects their own line of thinking. My way or highway type ?? It needs some practice and an honest approach for sure.

1 年Great thoughts there, Abhirup! However, in my experience working with leaders, it's often this 'Leading with Questions' mindset that leaders most often struggle with. How much curiosity is too much? Are my teams feeling psychologically safe when I ask them too many questions? Are my teams themselves ready for a curious mindset? Curiosity is a lovely skill, but as often with other skills, needs training and direction to be fruitful. What do you think?
