It is noteworthy that the modern education system in numerous countries has its roots in the Industrial Revolution, a period when educational practices were tailored to prepare individuals for factory work. The educational model adopted was akin to a factory system, where students were trained to follow instructions, perform repetitive tasks, and adhere to a strict schedule. This approach was designed to meet the demands of industrial economies, which required workers to execute specialised tasks with limited inquiry. Consequently, the system was oriented towards producing workers rather than fostering thinkers and leaders.

Its approach encourages students to collaborate, consider multiple viewpoints, and engage in self-directed learning, thereby nurturing leadership and cognitive skills from an early age.
