Leadership Values
The mentality to lead and the skill set to achieve
Leadership is a powerful mindset that is not bound by job title or rank. This is an extremely beneficial mentality, as it allows those with or without leadership titles to find opportunities within their organization to take the initiative and create impactful environments in the workplace.
When mindset and skill set go hand-in-hand, professionals are capable of being excellent mentors, providing guidance and support to their peers, and helping to foster a culture of collaboration and growth. Moreover, the perfect balance allows professionals to recognize the potential in themselves and others to reach higher goals.
These are a few examples of skill combos that companies see in their high-performing leaders:

Resources that’ll give you the leadership edge
With the right attitude and the drive to succeed, all that remains is a plan to follow. Becoming a leader isn't something that happens overnight, and despite popular belief, leaders aren't born, they are cultivated.
It takes a lot of dedication and hard work, but with a strategy and supportive resources, leaders have a better chance of strengthening their foundation for development. Learning to be a leader involves taking the initiative, setting goals, and doing whatever it takes to accomplish those goals. It also involves having the courage to take risks, and the humility to accept mistakes and learn from them.
The ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and the rest of these leadership qualities don’t have to come naturally. Check out this quick read for course, book, and podcast recommendations to help get you on track.

Leading teams as an executive
Leadership at executive levels may have the highest salaries, but in return, they have the biggest responsibility of ensuring the growth and sustainability of the company. This includes taking care of their workforce, monitoring the company's performance, and setting strategies for the future.

2 年This great, spot on about leadership. Leadership for some, just don't want to lead, and that's ok. We have leaders and followers. One of things mention I liked very much, and that was the examples of skill combos that companies see in their high-performing leaders. One was Empathy and communication. Question you have to ask, what is sympathy vs. empathy? I feel sometimes leaders get those two words in confusion. You can be empathetic with your employees, and understand, but do you let being sympatric creep in. It happens, and that can cause a riff in the leadership chain. When this occurs, the chain of communication gets cloudy, from the lowest man in the chain, to the top. Been there, and just got out of a job like that.
