Leadership Enigma! 0.1

If leadership is a beautiful mystery why is it filled with such dishonesty, betrayal and many other horrible things? This is a good question. Let me put these questions to you; don't we see the light better through a cracked vase than a new one? It is not easier to see the real deal when the counterfeit is placed besides it? Like this quote so graciously illustrates "Some broken vases can still hold beautiful flowers".

I believe we tend to perfectionize (apologies if this is not a real word) the concept around leadership. On the long road of human story, every civilization has somehow idealized the topic. Their equation is; person in authority a.k.a leader = leadership. Even if it is not leadership at all. This means we tend to judge the leader and the topic simultaneously. The result, we never explore the other side of the coin. We see the elephant only from one miniature side such as the back. We believe it is no elephant, because we only see the butt and the tail.

I have a childlike excitement in me. The times we are living in is revealing to us, in a manner no human could orchestrate, the validity and falsehood connected to leadership. The beauty, the pain and the counterfeit. All in one. We are again at another tipping point in the history of leadership. It is healthy that we are allowing ourselves to question the core of this mystique topic. Fun times ahead!

My advise - for now; keep observing, learn the lessons and you will soon be carrying a bag of wisdom with you into the future.
