Leadership Observations

Leadership Observations

As leaders, we live off perceptions. We watch and observe what others do thinking that they have it all together. Our perception is filled with all those inadequacies that haunt us every day. It is not a good comparison. We will always come up short.

My perception of leaders comes from observing them over a long period of time. In my latest Leading for Impact post - Three Observations for 2022 - I offer three observations for organizational leaders. My purpose is to help some of you shift from simply running your companies to leading them.

The observations are:

STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS.

EXPERTS DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING

THE WORLD IS NOT SIMPLE

I conclude with three things you can do.

SIMPLIFY EVERYTHING THAT YOU CAN.

ELEVATE THE LEADERSHIP CAPACITY OF YOUR PEOPLE.

LEAD FROM WITHIN, NOT FROM ABOVE

To get at the why and the how, read my post.
