Leadership Milestones: The True Journey Starts Now
Dear Readers,
One of the most important things we can do as leaders is to celebrate significant milestones. When a group of leaders completes a leadership program, it’s more than just checking a box—it’s an important moment of recognition. It’s the capstone to a journey that signals two things: first, that the organization values these leaders and their growth, and second, that it expects them to use what they've learned to make a lasting impact.
Finishing a leadership program isn’t the end of the journey—it’s the "end of the beginning." The true test of leadership happens after the program when you take the tools, insights, and courage you’ve gained and apply them to real-world challenges. How we carry what we’ve learned into the future is what makes the difference. It’s about leaving people and the organization better than we found them!
Honor the achievement, but remember, the real work is just beginning!

We take great pride in our long-term partnerships, and there’s no better example than our relationship with Aldridge Electric Inc . For 19 years, we’ve had the honor of working alongside Aldridge, helping to shape and develop their project management and field leaders. Recently, I had the privilege of facilitating a leadership class for Aldridge’s senior field leaders—focused on driving change and empowering them to lead with courage.
The "Driving Change" workshop was all about equipping these leaders with the tools they need to lead their teams through uncertainty and change—fostering resilience, adaptability, and, of course, courage. Seeing the senior field leaders of Aldridge embrace the content and rise to the challenge is always inspiring, and it reinforces why this partnership has lasted so long.
Since the early days of Giant Leap Consulting, Bill has been on the road spreading the message of courageous leadership. It’s been a journey filled with hotel nights, airport terminals, and countless miles covered. The numbers below? Well, they only reflect GLC's time with Marriott. Bill has status with IHG and Hilton too! But the point isn’t the travel—it’s the mission, bringing courage to where it’s needed most—in your workplaces, teams, and lives!
We recently had the privilege of leading a powerful leadership capstone event for the leaders of IES Communications as they completed their year-long leadership development program. Held amidst the scenic beauty of Asheville and Bryson City, NC, this capstone was more than just a graduation—it was a transformative experience designed to solidify the lessons learned over the past year and to inspire these leaders to continue their growth journey. The event was packed with moments that truly embodied courageous leadership. From deep-dive leadership content to moments of reflection during guided meditation, the leaders had a chance to center themselves and reconnect with their purpose. We even had some good old-fashioned campfire time—where stories were shared, insights were gained, and bonds were strengthened.
This capstone wasn’t just a conclusion—it was a launching point. These leaders are now equipped to bring everything they've learned back into their work and lives, creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout IES Communications.
Congratulations to the IES Communications leaders—we're excited to see the impact you’ll continue to make!
This September, the Treasurer family had something big to celebrate—their kids’ birthdays! All three of Bill's children share September birthdays, and this year, they marked the occasion with a family trip to Pigeon Forge, and spent a spirited day of rollercoaster fun at Dollywood!
This workshop, "Leading & Managing Change," equips participants with the skills to confidently navigate and lead through organizational change. It focuses on building resilience, enhancing adaptability, and applying effective strategies to lead teams in dynamic environments, ensuring a positive and lasting impact on their organizations.
