Leadership matters

With so much potential change happening in the world, as a large part of the world's population are going through elections, we look to our nation's leaders to lead. Leadership matters!

In times of uncertainty, we need leaders who lead with clarity and confidence, consistency and insight. Whatever our leadership role, it needs to be more than just managing through the storms and changes. As storms are forecasted, it's about setting a course and a strategy to navigate the journey and reach the goal stronger, tighter, and more ready for the following chapters.

So, we must develop our skills, teams and future leaders.

Developing Leadership skills

Every leader today has to trust themselves, their skills, and their beliefs and work on those skills and beliefs. Trust forces impact us daily; opposite forces act in a different direction to what you are trying to achieve, creating friction and resistance to what you are trying to accomplish. Other pull forces support you and help you achieve your goals.

Leadership for Supply Chain

Unstable market requirements force organisations to develop better SCs collaboratively.??Executive parties are currently more concerned about SC resilience discussions than about problem-solving based on scientific methods to better understand the potential of SCs and data properties through modelling and supporting metrics.

Soft skill development for the leaders of tomorrow

Soft Skills are a cluster of productive personality traits in one’s character. These skills can include social styles, communication abilities, language skills, personal habits, cognitive or emotional empathy, time management, teamwork and leadership traits. Soft Skills are also defined as an umbrella term for skills under three vital functional elements: people skills, social skills, and personal career attributes. The National Business Education Association considers soft skills to be critical for being industrious in today’s workplace.

Well said. Challenge is that in many democracies the most gifted leaders are running corporations, while governments / political parties struggle to attract and retain talent.

Thanks Dave - we need 'authentic' leadership and the ability to build trust. It has been somewhat lacking in our politicians of late!
