Board Monitor US 2024: Navigating shifting sands
The role of a board member is expanding to oversee unprecedented issues affecting their business, such as the global pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and various social and environmental concerns. This study includes insights from two Heidrick & Struggles surveys of CEOs and non-executive directors with 3,176 and 2,653 respondents, and an analysis of Fortune 500 2023 board appointments.
