Leadership – The Light Our Eyes Cannot See

The pupil asked his master why to make such huge effort to reach the peak of the mountain to get the fruit if we can get it right here down in the valley with much less effort.

The master answered, the fruit here and there are exactly the same, but you… You will be transformed after being there. Too much comfort and the absence of challenge will make you weak. The focus should not be on the prize but in you.

You are like a giant and beautiful eagle. How could you enjoy the flight and stay in your cozy nest at the same time? You are meant to be brave and curious. The fear of failure is your best protection against your success. Remember, as someone said once, “I never lose. Either I win or learn”.

During your journey to reach the peak of that mountain, you will face bad times. But when you reach your destination it will become clear that even under the darkest storm, there is no day without sunshine for those who keep their thoughts above the clouds.

Don′t try to hold that light just for you. It is meant to be multiplied by sharing. You are not alone on this journey. The main drive of a leader is not being a leader but the wellbeing of the team instead. Leadership comes naturally from there. Less ego and more awareness.

When things become too heavy and complicated, be humble. Accept the light from others and be grateful for that.

We never know everything. That′s why we are always learning. Sometimes we need to get back to the maturity and wisdom of our childhood and learn just to live the present moment and feel happiness again.

There is an infinite universe of knowledge we are not even aware of. That defines a kind of ignorance that nobody is free, not even the wisest man on Earth. The chasing for the truth is a never-ending journey and dogmas are illusions that we have reached the destination already.

One person can only be truthful in defense of an idea if he, right from the start, fearlessly and honestly admits the possibility of being wrong. Otherwise, it is just like talking to the walls. Few people are brave enough to overcome the stubbornness of the ego and face the challenge of putting their ideas to the test of the melting heat of truth.

It is not about lose a competition. It is about never losing your attachment to one of the deepest universal values we have. The never-ending search for the light of truth.

As a diamond is not made by just one face, in the very same way, in our search for the light of truth, we should not rely on our own point of view only, but in the shared pool of meaning instead, built in collaboration with people around us. Maybe we become closer to the truth by allowing us to combine different perceptions respecting every individual's opinion. Less ego. More awareness.

           You were given two strong legs called Vision and Decision along with powerful arms, Passion, and Respect. Walk firmly with a clear focus and open your path creating your opportunities.
