Leadership Lessons from my husband!

I had a leadership epiphany when I took out this pic. The scene? I was driving my car to the mechanic and my husband was following me- so when I dropped the car, we’ll both return in his. As I looked at him in my rear-view; I recognized a trend–any time we left home in 2 separate vehicles, for example either to the service center or to the Office; he ALWAYS let me drive ahead/in front of him. Although for work, where there's a part of the journey we separate; he always lets me stay ahead of him. Although his car is faster than mine lol (turbo engine and all), he reduces his speed so he can allow me to drive ahead. If he notices something- like a dimmed rear light or a fault with a brake light, he calls me. If he gets an alert in a traffic group about some risk ahead, he calls me- especially if we need to change course. If someone gives me a ‘bad drive’ (as we say in Trinidad), he calls me to find out if I’m ok. If I could’ve done something a little differently- he gives me feedback (sometimes I will call him and ask if he noticed my blooper lol). If I did a cool driving technique- he would call me to tell me that was impressive! When I first got my car, there were moments when he drove ahead, but as my comfort and confidence increased, he allowed me to take the lead. Now, I absolutely love and appreciate his chivalry, but at the moment I took out this photo and thinking about past experiences, I thought about leadership. My husband was emulating great leadership!
A great leader- when they recognize that their team has attained a level of skill (or even stretching them to attain a fresh set of skills):
