Believe it or not, there's more to CoComelon than meets the eye. As a toddler parent who has spent an absurd amount of time watching Baby JJ and the gang, I’ve realized the lessons go deeper than letters and numbers.?
First, I’ve learned to appreciate the importance of repetition. Just like most other toddler songs, CoComelon songs are insanely catchy and repetitive. If you’ve ever found yourself humming “The Jello Colors Song” or “The Boo Boo Song” on your way to work, you know what I’m talking about! If you want to get your message across clearly and effectively to your team members, you need to repeat it in a memorable way. By doing so, you leave little room for confusion or speculation about what you envision. So go ahead and repeat yourself, guys. It's all part of being a good leader.
Another key lesson I picked up from CoComelon is the importance of consistency. When I turn on CoComelon for our son, I know just what to expect - bright colors, cheerful songs, and smiling faces. As a leader, consistency helps your team feel more stable, secure, and capable, increasing their trust in your leadership and empowering them to work with confidence.

I think the most impactful takeaway from CoComelon is the value of kindness. Sure, our son is learning his alphabet and primary colors, but what's really great about this content is the way it shows us how to navigate the world with compassion and positivity. Being kind to those around you builds a strong foundation for creating lasting and loyal relationships that are fundamental to any successful business. As leaders, it's easy to get bogged down by day-to-day tasks or hyperfocused on long-term goals, but taking a moment to ask someone how they're doing and listening with genuine intention can make a huge difference in sustaining a positive work environment.
Who would have thought a children's show could teach us so much? As every challenge and change in my life has taught me, valuable lessons abound if we remain open to them. So let's enjoy the ride and take advantage of every opportunity to become better leaders, parents, and people.
