Develop Mental Balance (Chapter #2, Verse #38) - Sankhya Yog
?????:?? ??? ?????? ???????? ?????? | ??? ??????? ???????? ???? ????????????? ||
Meaning: This verse explores the concept of duality where Sri Krishna asks Arjuna to keep in mind the three pairs of opposites - Happiness or Distress, Loss or Gain, Victory or Defeat, and treat them equally during the fight.
Leadership Lesson: Great leaders are those who are able to handle both - Adversaries & Success under their leadership.
Explanation: When Arjun had expressed his fear that by killing his enemies he would incur sin. Shree Krishna addresses this apprehension. He advises Arjun to do his duty, without attachment to the fruits of his actions. Such an attitude towards work will release him from any sinful reactions.
Leadership capacity increases only when one is able to develop the mental balance to the evolving situations.?When we work with selfish motives, we create 'karmas', which brings subsequent karmic reactions. However, if we give up selfish motives, then our actions no longer create any karmic reactions.
At the end of the day, life is a roller coaster ride and that is an enjoyable ride we must have.
