Last night Booroondara Council put on one of the best and most inspirational networking events I have attended lately.

We heard from Nick Pearce from HoMie (check them out if you have not heard of them at www.homie.com.au). They support youth who are experiencing homelessness and their model is well considered and hits a target far better than many other organisations that I have seen.

They start from a position of 'You can't do everything for everyone but you can do something for someone." I found this to be a wonderful way to help as many times you want to help, but it feels too overwhelming to start as the issue is too big.

We also heard from several businesses in the Booroondara area. All of them aim to help the community that they live and work in.

So as a leader - how do you help. Maybe it is as simple as doing something for someone.
