Leadership is hard, this is “My Creed”

As leaders, many of us have experienced adversity in different aspects of our lives, whether in our professional or personal roles. We have encountered criticism, doubts, and pressure to compromise our values. These experiences have tested our core beliefs and principles. Like you, I have faced criticism, been ridiculed, faced life-changing challenges, and experienced both successes and failures.
I have been reflecting on various moments in my life, both professionally and personally. I have contemplated the core values of my servant leadership that have guided me through turbulent and successful times. I would like to share my creed.
“My Creed”
"I am a servant leader, guided by the principles of humility, empathy, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of those I serve. In times of ease, I sow seeds of trust and compassion, knowing that these are the foundations upon which strong communities are built. In times of adversity, I am steadfast, resilient, and courageous, leading not with power, but with purpose.
I believe that true leadership is a responsibility, not a privilege. My strength is found in the service of others, and my influence is measured by the growth and flourishing of those around me. I lead with open hands and a listening heart, understanding that the greatest power comes from empowering others to realize their potential.
In the face of challenges, I do not waver. I stand firm in my values, guided by the belief that adversity is not an obstacle, but an opportunity to demonstrate integrity, compassion, and resolve. I do not seek the easy path, but the right one, knowing that the journey of a servant leader is paved with sacrifice and the relentless pursuit of justice and equity.

I am not deterred by failure, for I know that growth often comes through trial. I rise with renewed purpose, learning from my experiences, and using them to better serve those who rely on my leadership. I am a beacon of hope and a source of strength, guiding others through the darkness with the light of my vision and the warmth of my care.
As a servant leader, I commit to walking the path of humility, courage, and selflessness. I will strive to lead by example, to lift others as I climb, and to leave a legacy of service that endures long after I am gone. My creed is to serve, lead, and inspire—always with an open heart and an unyielding dedication to the greater good."
Stay the course, stay true to your values, and stay true to your creed.
