Background
This was originally written as post approximately one month ago, you can see orginal post here . The post was inspired by a flood happening in Italy (my home country) around that period. More can be read in the link provided Italy floods: Emilia Romagna's 'once in a century' deadly floods are linked to climate crisis, researchers say | CNN.
The post has been emotional for me, also because I have been living for 3 years in that very area that has been devastaded by the flood. The article will outline the climate emergency (which is undeniable), but friends and locals from that area have also shared their opinion, that much more could have been done in the past (maintenance of territory for example) to largerly mitigate the impact of what happenened in that area. You could think, thoughts dictated by the sadness and rage of the moment. Having been living in Italy for more than half of my life, I know the reality that is behind such words, and share that . Italy generally lacks prevention on the territory, despite the famous beauty of its landscape. Decisions in this regard are regularly discussed, but rarely activated.
The reflection starts from here.

Reflection in the Post
Ciao!
Friday is usually the time I stop for a moment to reflect on?#leadership, and try to analyze the work week soon to be behind the shoulders.
For this week and for the recent related climatic events in my home country Italy, I find this below in the picture to be the right inspiring quote. (note inserted later : Leadership requires the courage to make decisions that will benefit the next generation)
True leadership should require the leader to put himself/herself out of the equation, and inspire, work and act on a long term vision - while capable to frame the short term plan, and not the other way around.
What do you think, and what is your point of view ?
