Leadership Fairfax Announces New Program: Inclusive Leadership Institute (ILI) Starting This Fall

Fairfax County, June 20, 2024 – Leadership Fairfax is thrilled to announce the launch of our new program, the Inclusive Leadership Institute (ILI), set to commence this fall. The first class will take place on October 3rd.

The Inclusive Leadership Institute (ILI) is designed for leaders residing or working in Fairfax County who aspire to deepen their understanding of the historical foundations and consequences of racism within systems and the local community. This innovative program adopts a unique and structured dialogue approach, guiding participants through a comprehensive exploration, starting from understanding historical foundations to analyzing current systems.

Over the course of the 8-month program, participants will engage in an in-depth examination of the entrenched beliefs, practices, and policies that contribute to racial inequities. The program's curriculum aims to empower leaders to identify and implement strategies to operationalize equity within their respective organizations and the broader community.
