Leadership is a timeless art, transcending boundaries of industry, sector, region, and ideology. ?Whether its government, business, politics, or the world of startups, effective leadership is the cornerstone of progress and success.
Throughout history, leaders have navigated their organizations through turbulent times, inspired collective action, fostered innovation, and forged a path towards a brighter future. ?To explore the multifaceted realm of leadership excellence, let’s delve into the fundamental dimensions and capabilities that underpin outstanding leadership.
In a world marked by unprecedented challenges and opportunities, whether you are a seasoned executive, a budding entrepreneur, a public servant, or a political strategist, the need for Visionary, Effective, Authentic and Resilient (VEAR) leadership has never been greater.
I see four fundamental leadership dimensions as Public / Private and (as a) Person / (among) People.? And in each vector, I have tried to capture the leadership capabilities that is needed to successfully navigate this VUCA and BANI world; that we live in.?
1.??????? Visionary builder (In Public, among People)

Being a visionary, charismatic, and values-driven leader, with a strong focus on both fostering innovation and nurturing a supportive and resilient organizational culture.
Thought Leader: ??A deep understanding of their field or industry and is recognized for their innovative ideas and insights.? They may contribute to shaping the direction of their industry through their expertise and forward-thinking approach.
Great Storyteller: ?Storytelling is a powerful tool for communication and persuasion. ?A leader who is a great storyteller can effectively convey their vision, inspire others, and build strong connections with their audience.
Culture Builder: ?Prioritizes creating and nurturing a positive and inclusive organizational culture. ?They understand the importance of shared values, beliefs, and behaviors in driving success and fostering a sense of belonging among team members.
Brand Evangelist and Influencer: ?Being passionate about their vision, products, or services and is dedicated to promoting them both internally and externally. They inspire enthusiasm and commitment among their team members and wider stakeholders.
Courage to Embrace Failure: ?Not afraid to take risks and understands that failure is an inherent part of innovation and growth. They encourage experimentation and learning from mistakes, creating an environment where individuals feel empowered to push boundaries and try new things.
2.??????? Effective Manager (in Private, among People)
