In our final edition of the year, we are looking back at some of our favourite topics to bring you inspiration for personal resolutions, goals and actions to drive your leadership development in 2025.
- SET NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS: To achieve business goals in 2025, what personal challenges do you need to address? Dave put together five ideas, including taking time for reflection and leaving imposter at the door, which you can use to build your own personal checklist as you set your resolutions for the year ahead.
- BUILD YOUR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: Foundational to leadership development is having a thorough understanding of yourself, and how this is perceived by others. As Matt says, this self-awareness helps leaders to recognise that others may see things differently to us and allows us to adapt behaviours to better engage and influence others.
- VOICE YOUR INNER CHIMP: Part of understanding ourselves, is knowing our inner chimp. By speaking openly about your inner chimp, and encouraging others to do so, you can help create an atmosphere of psychological safety. Why not try checking in on everyone’s chimp at the beginning of the meeting to understand how everyone is feeling, check resilience and flex accordingly.
- THE POWER OF PURPOSE: While setting personal goals will undoubtedly contribute to business success, what actions you can take to build higher-performing teams? In Matt’s view, we can learn a lot from professional sports teams, particularly about the power of purpose. In 2025, think about what steps you can take to ensure that everyone understands the collective purpose of the organisation, and how you can bring this to life.
