Leadership Development is American Parks & Recreation Foundation Priority
The American Parks & Recreation Foundation, philanthropic partner of the American Academy for Parks & Recreation Administration, is pleased to announce the winners of the John C. Potts Leadership Development Scholarship to attend the 2022 NRPA Directors School in Oak Brook, IL August 14-18. The scholarship is in the name of John Potts, Lifetime Trustee of the Academy, and is commonly referred to as the "Pottsie" scholarship.
Cortney Weinstock, Baltimore County Parks & Recreation, MD, is the Deputy Director of Administration.
Tede Price, Lee's Summit Parks & Recreation, MO, is the Superintendent of Recreation.
Ms. Weinstock and Ms. Price are outstanding professionals who are aspiring to be directors of a parks and recreation agency. The American Parks & Recreation Foundation (APRF) raises funds to support parks and recreation professionals in their growth, development and leadership goals. The APRF will soon announce two scholarship opportunities to the 2022 Supervisors Management School at Oglebay National Training Center in Wheeling, WV November 6-10.
