?? LEADERSHIP CODE {infographic}
??? This leadership code has 5 parameters, each with 2 descriptive elements. What component would you add?
??? I think it is too generic or academic in its language, but it nevertheless provokes your thinking.
?? Strategist: Shape the Future
1.Create information asymmetry by separating signal from noise, to identify consequences and inform decisions.
2. Harness uncertainty, with pragmatic optimism; face fears, regulate expectations, and experiment nimbly.
?? Executor: Make Change Happen
3. Create the “right” culture, connecting internal values with stakeholder value, by integrating purpose and brand.
4. Guide decisions on where to invest to upgrade talent.
?? Talent Manager: Engage Talent
5. Personalize employee experiences, being sensitive and responsive so that employees find meaning and purpose.
6. Hear others to express empathy; eschew discrimination to embrace DEI.
?? Human Capital Developer: Build the Next Generation
7. Empower others to build their brand, by building competence, delegating authority, and distributing rewards.
8. Create psychological safety, by modeling the values they expect of others.

?? Personal Proficiency: Invest in Yourself
9. Navigate paradox, respecting others’ opinions; encourage divergence while seeking convergence.
10. Be transparent and renew, by modeling transparent behaviors for others to follow.
When all is said and done, as I keep repeating, a true LEADER must LEAD -- i.e., into the Future. The traits needed to succeed obviously include the above.

2 年Great post Frank, great to see the leaders charater traits in the infographic. Trust is the glue of life and leadership in any situation. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships. When the trust account is high, communication is easy, instant, and effective. Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something. Some people are inclined to trust in people and things more easily than others, but usually trust needs to be earned and, once lost, is difficult to win back. Trust underpins effective working relationships. The more someone trusts a colleague, manager or team member, the greater the likelihood that they will co-operate, share information and work effectively together. So trust helps organisations to run smoothly, increasing positivity, improving processes and driving individual and team performance. Our Trust report last year showed 69% of people did not trust their line manager or CEO - Re-building trust always takes time. A psychological ‘contract’ has been broken, and has to be re-negotiated., and in some instances is beyond repair.
