The Leadership Burden-#TLD23
FRED WAMBIA
“?????????????? ???????????? |???????????????????? ?????????? ?????????????????????????? & ?????????????? |?????????????????? ???? ?????????????????? ???????????????????? & ????????????????????”
Recently as I was reviewing my leadership journal, I found this prayer that I had made on 21st February, 2021. It read:
"May the burden of the Lord concerning His people and the land not depart from me. May that burden drive me towards walking in integrity of heart and honor of His Name. May that burden push me to warn people against walking in sin and wickedness.”?
The ultimate trigger and the heaviest load one has to carry is the burden that comes with leading. This load is always heavy and never easy because inside the leader resides a desire to deliver. This desire constantly pushes the leader to engage the other team members for better results.
Leadership is a burden put by God in one's heart. This is the power of burden that drives us. It makes us grow to great lengths of struggle, commitment and consistency to ensure the task is accomplished and the race run to the Lord's requirements.
The leadership burden spurs in the leader an unmatched? zeal or self motivation to give the best. The zeal is the driver and it doesn't depend on the dangers along the way, what matters is delivering on the assignment of meticulous precision.?
Burden does not just come from nowhere. It is usually built as one selflessly offers to serve. Many times it is an inner drive to see things get better by becoming a co-creator in delivering innovative solutions. However, as one does this, they also mature up to take the mantle of leadership.?
The leadership burden also drives an individual to action. King David, for example, demonstrates this by the statements that are recorded.?
??132:1 He swore an oath to the LORD and made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
??132:3 "I will not enter my house or go to my bed--
??132:4 I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids,
??132:5 till I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.
The zeal for ensuring things are done and delivered excellently consumed David. He got concerned about the state of things and that made him decide to change things. This involved working extra hard; being fully committed to it; he made a vow to ensure accountability and commitment.? Are there things that disturbs you? Things that make you feel that " I cannot just lie here while watching this mess?". Do you translate that burden to action?
Burden is a very powerful tool that? lays in us an assignment. It makes leaders take risks and challenges. It makes us become oblivious of the dangers so long as we delivering on the mandate. Burden purifies motives and gives clarity of purpose and direction. Burden made Moses confront and kill the Egyptian.? Burden pushed Moses to be a reconciliatory among the Hebrews. Burden was telling Moses that there is a way they must remain United as Hebrews and overcome. Burden made him drop all his privileges at the throne to be among his people. The world is driven by the power of burdens.
It is an intangible asset that is very critical in leadership. Any leader without a burden can never execute with excellence. Such a leader will always lack the intrinsic drive to make things work. They will be depending on externals to drive them. They also fumble and create unnecessary distractors.?

5 天前"The leadership burden" the desire to drive change, to make things better than they were... What has really caught my eye is that "Burden does not just come from nowhere. It is usually built as one selflessly offers to serve" this is an encouragement that any leader can have the desire to drive change and propel excellence... Very wise nuggets here ? thank you
