Leadership is all about Ownership - in its truest form!

Different Strokes: Over the years - I have been reading, listening, experiencing & observing a lot about #leadership, #ownership, excellence, responsibility, trust and what it means to truly inspire others. Thought of penning down some takeaways in this post

??Last decade (2010-20) witnessed one of the fastest & highest growths - industrially, technologically, financially for countries,?businesses?& people

??This decade started on a sombre note with covid-19 wreaking havoc. A lot of businesses suffered setbacks. But such is human nature, that we always?see opportunities?and emerge as?winners

??This is where the role of?'right' #leaders and?leadership?becomes critical. The right leaders will propel organizations & people from #goodtogreat. In fact during a crisis, they will not just lead them out of it, but will inspire them to come out as winners. On the other hand, wrong leaders will create/ add to the crisis and spiral their organization & people from?Great to Grave.?They bring irrationality, form coteries & fiefdoms, repel talent, and create uncertainty & fear. This results in incompetence, confusion & chaos - their?"sweet spot".?The difference here is not just in the leadership, but in their?ownership

??In such a scenario, an organization loses 2 key ingredients?-?Trust & Credibility. And once this is lost, it takes a long time for any organization to achieve the greatness it once had

??Finally as Simon Sinek says in #leaderseatlast - "Trust is a very special human experience, in response to acts performed?on behalf of the people to serve their safety & protection". When leaders get credit for the highs that benefited everyone; they need to take the onus for the lows when their decisions end belly up.?Because Leadership is all about Ownership!
